Natale è famiglia: questo si sa e in una Lecce decorata da tante luci e decorazioni natalizie non può essere che pura magia.
Ma questo per noi è stato un Natale più speciale del solito, perché la famiglia di Scuola Mondo Italia e Homestay ha aggiunto un posto a tavola, perché c’era un amica in più: Desiree, italo-americana di origine, cantante di professione e nobile d’animo.
Desiree ha trascorso con noi una bella settimana, piena di sorrisi, feste e tante nuove esperienze da portare con sé. Non potevamo non darle il benvenuto con una festa a base di tombola e panettone, altrimenti che Natale sarebbe stato? Desiree è entrata subito in contatto con amici e parenti, è stata accolta da tutti con grande entusiasmo.
Tutti noi abbiamo contribuito a rendere i suoi giorni qui con noi magici e speciali.
Margherita con le sue lezioni non ha trasmesso solo la lingua, ma anche e soprattutto la cultura italiana e locale concludendo questo percorso con una bellissima calza della Befana fatta apposta per Desiree e riempita come da tradizione: mandarini, ricci e sì… un po’ di carbone 🙂
Tutte insieme abbiamo assistito al concerto di Natale nel Duomo, è stata una vera magia! Per non parlare della divertentissima serata al cinema, ovviamente a tema natalizio anche quella!
Marco, proprietario del B&B L’Acchiatura, ha aperto a noi le sue porte facendoci ammirare il mercatino di Natale organizzato dalla sua mamma, tutto accompagnato da un buonissimo e deliziosissimo buffet di dolci fatti in casa. Tra gnomi, bambole, presepi e campanelle sembrava di vivere una favola.
E poi è arrivato il giorno di Natale… quando tutti intorno alla meravigliosa tavola natalizia ci siamo riuniti a gustare il pranzo sublime preparato da mamma Franca e la sua migliore amica Lina! Babbo Natale ha anche portato i regali, ma quest’anno il regalo più bello lo porteremo sempre nel nostro cuore ed è quello che ha fatto Desiree a noi: il suo sorriso e la sua felicità per far parte della nostra famiglia 🙂

Christmas is family: this is well-known and in a decorated Lecce with lots of Christmas lights and decorations it can only be pure magic.
But this was a more special Christmas for us, because Scuola Mondo Italia and Homestay family added a seat at the table, because there was one more friend: Desiree, Italian-American of origin, singer of profession and noble of soul.
Desiree spent a nice week with us, full of smiles, parties and lots of new experiences to take with her. We could not not welcome her but with a party based on bingo and panettone, otherwise what Christmas would it be? Desiree immediately came into contact with friends and relatives, was greeted by everyone with great enthusiasm.
All of us have contributed to making her days here with us magical and special.
Margherita with her lessons has not only transmitted the language, but also and above all the Italian and local culture concluding this path with a beautiful sock of the Befana specially made for Desiree and traditionally filled: mandarins, curly and yes … a bit of coal 🙂
All together we joined the Christmas concert in the Duomo, it was a real magic! Not to mention the fun night at the cinema, obviously Christmas theme that too!
Marco, owner of the B&B L’Acchiatura, has opened its doors to us admiring the Christmas market organized by his mother, all accompanied by a delicious and delicious buffet of homemade desserts. Among gnomes, dolls, cribs and bells seemed to live a fairy tale.
And then it was Christmas Day … when all around the wonderful Christmas table we gathered to enjoy the sublime lunch prepared by Mama Franca and her best friend Lina! Santa Claus has also brought the gifts, but this year the most beautiful gift we will always bring in our hearts and it is what Desiree gave to us: her smile and her happiness to be part of our family 🙂
Because Christmas is a family, but also and above all love!
